Project closing statement
The recently completed National Appraisal of Assets, which referred solely to England is extended to Wales in this report. It provides information and an assessment methodology for the economic impacts of flooding and coastal erosion. It also refines the earlier work giving further information on standards of service, climate change scenarios and disbenefit assessment of flooding to agriculture and road traffic.

Summary Objective:-
To extend the recently completed National Appraisal of Assets (this provided information and a methodology for assessing economic impacts of flooding and coastal erosion for England only) to Wales and to refine the earlier work (better information on standards of service, scenarios for climate change and assessing disbenefits of flooding to agriculture and road traffic).

Key Customer Purpose:-
To provide policy makers and strategic planners in MAFF and the Agency with information to assess priority areas for protection, to guide policy and to better plan investment in the medium to long term.
