This project was delivered in two strands, with the overall objective of raising awareness of environmental risk, and how this leads to more informed decision-making and action by individuals at risk of flooding. The first strand of work evidenced the need for flood risk management (FRM) to become embedded in urban and rural agendas, and that FRM should be used as part of planning approaches to design and landscape, exploiting opportunities to alleviate flood risk. the second strand demonstrated the increasing need for effective community engagement in FRM decision making, delivery and flood response.
