PROJECT CLOSING STATEMENT:

This report is the results of a study identifying a range of environmental change indicators (ECIs). It includes those resulting from climate change, which potentially provide early warning of fluvial flooding and coastal erosion trends. It is predominantly aimed at flood defence planners and managers.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:

To identify, define and select a range of climate change indicators relevant to flood and coastal defence and to develop mechanisms for monitoring, analysing and interpreting findings.

KEY

CUSTOMER PURPOSE:

To provide the basis for empirical evidence for the nature and rate of climate change over a range of flood and coastal defence-related parameters, to support policy, implementation and operational decision-making.
