PROJECT CLOSING STATEMENT:-


The project report is intended to assist in the valuation of the health impacts of flooding on residents in England and Wales. It provides full details of the development of the survey methodology and analysis of the survey results, it also provides a detailed methodology for using the results to estimate the economic impact of these health effects in project appraisal. A simplified version of this methodology has now been circulated to all operating authorities in England and is available as supplementary project appraisal guidance at: http://www.defra.gov.uk/environ/fcd/pubs/pagn/fcdpag3/pag3suppjuly04.pdf.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:-


To develop and test a method for assessing, in economic terms, the impacts of flooding on human health and to provide a manual for its application in the economic assessment of projects and policies.
