Summary Objectives:-
To conduct model tests on structures in order to identifying configurations of wall/mound/beach that cause severe wave impact pressures and develop new methods to predict the magnitude and frequency of wave impact pressures on sea defence structures. To develop and produce the European Coastal/Harbour structures manual in conjunction with other researchers from EU countries.

Key Customer Purpose:-
Improve the technical and economic performance of sea defences through improved prediction of wave impact pressures on seawalls. Produce guidelines on the prediction of maximum potential toe scour. Disseminate European best practice for coastal/harbour structures through a pan-European manual.
